FRENSHAM COMMON | SURREY

Frensham Common is a large Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) heathland situated near the town of Frensham (Surrey) and owned by the National Trust. There are two lakes, the 'Little Pond' and the 'Great Pond', both built during the Medieval Period to provide fish for the Bishop of Winchester's estate, developed by Bishop Henry of Blois also known as Henry of Winchester.
