THIS WAS NOT A STAR WARS THEMED WEDDING!
Today I bring you another beautiful love story. This time is Hannah & Sam's turn, who got married at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire. This was what I call a weekend wedding. As you may know, I live in Basingstoke and the couple lives in Hampshire too. But once, they went to have a look at the venue and even though is not precisely close to Hampshire they decide to go with it because it is simply stunning. So, I packed up on a Friday, took the car and had a drive. 4 hours later I was at the hotel. Then, the couple hosted a dinner for the guests at the venue the day before the wedding day. Hannah and Sam invited me to join them (thank you guys!) and we had such a lovely dinner. And after dinner, went back to the hotel to have a needed rest before the big day.
What I haven't said yet is that they had a winter wedding in one of the most beautiful wedding venues I've ever been to, Peckforton Castle. And even this time, the wedding had a twist...
Sam, has an amazing hobby... he builds real sized R2D2 which is amazing. They speak, they move... definitely a Star Wars fan's dream! However, the couple didn't want to have a Star Wars themed wedding. So, what did they do? They decided to have a truly stunning Star Wars performance just when the groom arrived at the ceremony. And when I say a performance I mean it. There were not just R2D2s, the whole movie was there. You see, Sam also takes part in a Star Wars group who works with charities and events and they have almost every single Star Wars character. When I saw it with my own eyes I was like: is this for real?! You have to see it, have a look at the wedding photos because they're worth it.
After the civil ceremony, they also had a blessing at the church the venue has just meters from the main property and it also was amazing. Following the second ceremony and after the wedding breakfast, it was time for the emotional speeches. Family and friends set up a projector where they showed photos of Hannah and Sam when they were little kids which I thought was the cutest thing ever.
And finally, after the cake, the first dance came. They decorated the Great Hall of the venue with amazing lighting which along my colourful lighting made that special moment even better.
And that's it! Hope you like the wedding photos at Peckforton Castle and please feel free to let me know what you think in the comments section below or on social media. Can't wait to see what you think! Also, as always feel free to share 😊.
